Your Bridge to new Media

It has been a long round-about-road to get back into a life where creativity matters. I have recently decided to get off my tuukas and finally provide my justification for collecting hardware/software of the media type. Yes, I have jumped into the world of podcasting.

Bad news is, you're all thinking... "here we go another one." The good news is, it doesn't come without some background. You see I was a U.S. Marine. The year was 1987, and after 3 years in Artillery someone said to me "You sound like Bryant Gumbell!" almost on a dare, I decided to seek out if the Marines had a group that did broadcasting. After all I knew that the show "Navy News This Week." was coming from somewhere and they had Marines on that.

Long story (here anyway) short, I found them, had to do a DoD Broadcast Audition and was accepted for an official change of M.O.S. (Military Occupation Specialty) to 4313-Combat Correspondent.

On my personal blog I posted a series of what it was like being a broadcaster in the Marine Corps if anyone is interested.

My Marine Corps 6 Years of Fame Trilogy

Hope you enjoy, and I look forward to getting to know everyone here!
